Ukraine has launched a massive, coordinated drone offensive against the Russian capital, marking the most significant attack on Moscow since the conflict began. Nearly 200 drones were deployed in a strike that sent plumes of smoke over the region and resulted in 17 reported injuries, according to local officials.

The Russian defense ministry claims to have intercepted nearly 1,000 drones and four cruise missiles within a 24-hour window, yet the scale of the operation demonstrates a clear shift in Kyiv's tactical reach. In the southern Rostov region, an oil depot was successfully struck, resulting in at least one fatality.

President Volodymyr Zelensky characterized the strikes as 'long-range sanctions,' signaling that Ukraine intends to continue projecting force deep into Russian territory to hold the aggressor accountable for the ongoing war.
