US-Iran Deal Leaves Israel's Security in Limbo

While Washington pushes for a ceasefire, Israel asserts its right to maintain a military presence to ensure national security.

The Biden administration has brokered a deal with Iran intended to bring an end to military operations in Lebanon, but the agreement fails to provide the clarity Israel requires to guarantee the safety of its citizens.

While the deal calls for a cessation of hostilities, Israel has made it clear that it will not be bound by terms that compromise its security, stating that its forces will remain in Lebanon indefinitely. As residents of Beirut attempt to return to their homes, the reality remains that the threat from Iranian-backed actors is far from neutralized.

By attempting to force a diplomatic resolution, the U.S. risks undermining Israel’s sovereign right to defend itself against hostile neighbors. True peace in the region will not be achieved through backroom deals with the world's leading state sponsor of terror, but through the decisive actions of a nation determined to protect its sovereignty.
