Vice President JD Vance has announced a significant breakthrough in American foreign policy, confirming that Iran has agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors back into the country. This move marks a critical step in the Trump administration's efforts to dismantle Iran's nuclear weapons program.

The agreement follows a 14-point memorandum of understanding signed last week between President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In addition to the return of inspectors, the roadmap includes commitments to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and establish a de-confliction framework to end hostilities across the region, including in Lebanon.

While Iran continues to claim its nuclear program is for civilian use, the administration is moving forward with strict oversight to address the country's stockpile of enriched material.

President Trump, who previously withdrew from the flawed 2018 nuclear deal due to its failure to address ballistic missiles and its lack of permanence, is now securing a foundation for a more robust and lasting settlement.

As technical discussions continue, the administration remains focused on the ultimate goal: the permanent elimination of Iran's nuclear weapons capability.
