The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out targeted strikes against Hamas-affiliated operatives in Gaza, continuing the necessary work of dismantling the terror network that initiated the October 7, 2023, massacre.

In Khan Younis, a drone strike successfully neutralized five individuals identified as police officers serving under the Hamas-run interior ministry.

While Hamas propaganda outlets and international observers attempt to frame these individuals as mere civil servants, they remain active components of a terrorist regime that continues to hold Israeli hostages and threaten regional security. Separately, in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, a missile strike targeted a group of military operatives.

The IDF has confirmed these actions were directed at legitimate military targets. The ongoing conflict, which was ignited by Hamas's brutal assault on Israeli civilians, remains a defensive necessity for the Jewish state.

Despite the constant attempts by Hamas-run health ministries to leverage casualty figures—which are frequently cited by international bodies without verification—to undermine Israel's right to self-defense, the reality remains that Hamas bears full responsibility for the war and the resulting consequences for those living under their control.

Israel continues to prioritize the elimination of the Hamas threat, a mission that remains vital to the security of the Middle East.
