Kyiv's Missile Assault Demands U.S. Action

The relentless 11‑hour barrage threatens U.S. interests and global order.

Right News EditorialPublished July 4, 2026 at 8:01 AM

The ongoing missile barrage on Kyiv is a direct threat to U.S. national security and the principles of liberty, sovereignty, and law.

Moscow launched 74 missiles and 496 drones in an 11‑hour assault that killed at least 30 civilians and injured 91, forcing over 52,000 residents to seek shelter in metro stations.

The attacks targeted an ambulance station, a kindergarten, and residential apartment blocks, blurring the line between military and civilian targets and undermining the rule of law in Ukraine.

President Zelensky has called on Western allies to supply additional air defense systems and manufacturing capabilities, underscoring the need for the U.S. to step up its support.

If the United States fails to act, the erosion of international order will embolden other aggressors, weaken allies, and threaten the very freedoms that define the nation.

Limited government does not mean inaction; protecting liberty and sovereignty requires decisive action to counter a hostile power that seeks to destabilize the world.
