The recent Saudi-led strike against Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists demonstrates that defending national sovereignty is inseparable from preserving liberty, and that the same principle of accountability must apply at home.

The coalition struck a Houthi fuel depot in Sanaa, and when the militants launched missiles and drones toward Riyadh and other Saudi cities, coalition spokesperson Maj Gen Turki al-Maliki confirmed that these threats were intercepted, protecting civilians.

Allowing the Houthis to continue their campaign would destabilize the region, threaten global energy security, and embolden Iran, directly endangering the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia and its allies and undermining the liberty that depends on stable international order.

At home, the execution of a judicially authorized search warrant at Representative Ilhan Omar’s residence as part of an investigation into her father’s immigration paperwork shows that no one is above the law, a point underscored by Representative Tom Emmer’s remark that 'Nobody is above the law.'

Heading into the November 3rd midterms, Republicans have leveraged a financial advantage, holding over $1 billion in cash reserves by the end of August, to defend congressional majorities and protect the MAGA agenda, ensuring that elected officials remain answerable to voters.

The tragic shooting at a French middle school, where a 14‑year‑old wounded two teachers and his parents were later taken into custody, reminds us that unchecked violence threatens liberty everywhere; only by confronting external threats and upholding the rule of law domestically can security and freedom be sustained.
