Iran's Aggression Demands a Strong U.S. Response

The United States must protect its soldiers and global shipping by striking Iranian targets decisively.

Right News EditorialPublished July 19, 2026 at 8:01 PM

Iran's unprovoked attacks that killed 16 American service members, including two in Jordan, demand a decisive response.

The stakes are clear: liberty, sovereignty, law and order, and accountable government hinge on a firm stance against a regime that threatens both U.S. troops and the free flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz.

For eight consecutive nights, the U.S. military has launched targeted strikes against Iranian logistics and military infrastructure, dismantling the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' ability to project power and protect its own interests.

Jordan has declared its national security a red line, and the Gulf Cooperation Council has condemned Tehran’s repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure in Kuwait and Jordan, underscoring the international community’s rejection of Iranian aggression.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has made it clear that these sacrifices will only serve to stiffen resolve, and the U.S. remains committed to punishing those responsible for the deaths of our heroes while protecting interests against a state sponsor of terror.

The United States must maintain resolve, uphold law, and defend liberty by continuing to confront Iran’s threats with decisive force.
