Iran's Attack Demands Swift, Decisive American Retaliation

The loss of two service members proves that only a robust military response can deter Tehran’s aggression and protect U.S. sovereignty.

The Iranian missile attack that killed two U.S. service members and left another missing demands an immediate and overwhelming American response to uphold national sovereignty and deter further aggression.

According to the report, Iranian forces launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones into Jordan, targeting American personnel stationed there and confirming the deaths of two service members with a third still unaccounted for.

In retaliation, President Trump ordered a new round of air strikes on Saturday night, marking the eighth consecutive night of operations designed to degrade Iran’s ability to project power and punish the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for the direct assault on U.S. troops.

The Gulf Cooperation Council has rightly condemned Iran’s attacks on power and water plants as war crimes, underscoring the regime’s blatant disregard for international norms and the rule of law.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth honored the fallen, stating that their sacrifice only serves to stiffen American resolve, while the United States has reimposed blockades on Iranian ports to choke off the regime’s ability to fund terror operations.

Only a strong, decisive reply preserves liberty, signals that the United States will not be intimidated, and ensures that future aggressors think twice before threatening U.S. sovereignty.
