Forceful Response Needed to Counter Iran's Terror Network

The joint US-Saudi operation proves that only firm military action can deter Tehran's destabilizing aggression and protect American sovereignty.

The United States and Saudi Arabia have demonstrated that decisive military action is the appropriate answer to Iran's escalating campaign of aggression. Over the span of just 72 hours, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps proxies launched more than thirty aerial drone attacks against American forces and Saudi energy infrastructure, followed by an attempted ballistic missile strike on U.S. troops that was intercepted and reports of oil tanker harassment in the Strait of Hormuz. These provocations constitute a clear pattern of hostile behavior that threatens regional stability and the safety of American personnel.

The joint strike, confirmed by U.S. Central Command, successfully hit multiple terrorist logistics and weapons sites across eastern Iraq, sending an unambiguous message that the reckless actions of the IRGC and its allies will be met with overwhelming force. By targeting the supply chains that enable these attacks, the operation upholds the principle that sovereign nations must defend themselves against external threats that operate under the guise of militia groups.

Groups such as the Popular Mobilisation Forces, which have long acted as an extension of Tehran's hostile foreign policy, denounced the strikes as a "violation of sovereignty," yet their own activities violate the sovereignty of neighboring states and undermine international law. Allowing such proxies to operate unchecked erodes the rule of law and invites further aggression, making a firm response essential to preserve legal order and deter future violations.

Protecting vital energy infrastructure is not only a matter of national security but also a safeguard for free markets and individual liberty. The instability caused by Iran's provocations has already begun to influence oil prices, threatening economic disruption that could harm consumers and businesses alike. By securing these critical assets, the United States and Saudi Arabia help maintain market stability and protect the economic freedom of their citizens.

Previous attempts by the Biden administration to engage Iran through friendly negotiations have clearly failed to deter a regime that understands only the language of strength. This latest operation demonstrates accountable governance: leaders are taking concrete steps to defend their people and uphold their commitments, rather than relying on ineffective diplomacy that emboldens adversaries.

Moving forward, a continued resolve to meet aggression with proportional force will be necessary to safeguard sovereignty, preserve liberty, and affirm that law and order prevail over chaos. The joint US-Saudi strike stands as a testament to the principle that strength, when exercised responsibly, is the foundation of a secure and free society.
