The United States must aggressively deploy financial tools to isolate hostile regimes and protect national sovereignty. The Trump administration's launch of Operation Economic Outcast, described by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as an 'economic D-Day,' targets five critical sectors—digital assets, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping—and sanctions nearly 60 entities and vessels. This move signals a shift from managing the Iranian threat to ending it.

Iran's continued threats to global energy security, including the illegal obstruction of the Strait of Hormuz, demonstrate the necessity of choking off its revenue. By cutting off the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from international finance, the administration aims to block every potential source of revenue that fuels regional aggression.

Although Iran relies on trade with China, the United States is prepared to apply direct diplomatic pressure to ensure compliance, recognizing that allowing such evasion would undermine the sanctions regime.

Protecting American interests also means standing firm against unfair trade practices, as demonstrated by the 50% tariffs imposed on roughly $20 billion of Canadian imports, including dairy, steel, and electronics. These tariffs correct long‑standing imbalances and signal that the era of lopsided deals is over.

The spirit of national unity on display at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, where President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump joined thousands of citizens in a celebration of American heritage, underscores the importance of a strong, cohesive nation.

Conversely, proposals such as New Zealand's Online Safety Bill, which would force tech companies to implement intrusive age‑verification measures or face fines up to 10% of global revenue, illustrate the danger of expanding state control. Such overreach threatens individual liberty and contradicts the principle of limited government.
