Parliamentary decorum collapsed in Kosovo this Saturday when Alliance party MP Time Kadrijaj launched a barrage of at least four eggs at acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The outburst occurred during a plenary session after Kurti informed the assembly that he required additional time to negotiate with other political parties before nominating a candidate for speaker.
Following the June snap election, the legislative process demands stability, yet Kadrijaj chose to abandon civil discourse in favor of a physical assault on the office of the Prime Minister. Lawmakers and police officers were forced to intervene to restore order after the opposition member turned the chamber into a spectacle.
This incident highlights the volatile state of political opposition in the region, where some representatives clearly prefer disruption over the rule of law and the democratic process.
