The forces of darkness struck again in Jordan, where unidentified gunmen turned a funeral service into a slaughterhouse. According to government spokesperson Mohammad al-Momani, the attackers arrived by car and unleashed a hail of gunfire inside a church in the Karak governorate, killing six innocent people and leaving 28 others wounded.

This heinous act of violence, which targeted mourners during a time of grief, is a stark reminder of the persistent threat posed by extremists who hold no regard for human life or the sanctity of religious spaces. Security forces have been deployed to the region to hunt down the perpetrators, but the damage is already done.

As the government vows to respond to this atrocity, the victims and their families are left to deal with the devastating consequences of this cold-blooded assault.
