The Kremlin is escalating its rhetoric against the United Kingdom, with a former Russian deputy foreign minister suggesting that British drone factories could soon face attacks from 'unknown sources.' Andrei Fedorov, a pro-Kremlin figure, made the ominous comments on BBC Newsnight following the UK’s decision to share technical blueprints for cruise missile components with Ukraine.
This move allows Kyiv to domestically produce long-range weaponry, a development that has clearly rattled Moscow. Fedorov’s remarks mirror the aggressive stance taken by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who accused Britain of 'adding fuel to the fire' and confirmed that the Russian military is actively scouting for missile production sites to destroy.
Despite these threats, Prime Minister Andy Burnham remains steadfast, reaffirming that the UK will continue to support Ukraine's defense.
Burnham, who recently met with President Zelensky in Kyiv, is preparing to lobby the United States for additional air defense resources, including Patriot interceptor missiles, to protect Ukrainian infrastructure from Russian strikes.
While Moscow attempts to intimidate the West with talk of 'semi-military' responses and sabotage, the British government has made it clear that it will not be deterred by Russian aggression.
As the conflict continues, the UK maintains that Ukraine’s security is inextricably linked to the security of the West, and that support for Kyiv will not waver in the face of illegal Russian warfare.
