Trump Rejects AI Partnership with China, Vows to Protect American Innovation

President Trump shuts down calls for joint ventures with Beijing, insisting that sharing our technological edge would be a gift to our primary economic adversary.

President Trump is putting America first in the race for technological supremacy, explicitly rejecting any joint ventures with China in the field of artificial intelligence.

During a Washington event, the President made it clear that collaborating with Beijing would be nothing more than handing over sensitive American secrets to a rival that is desperate to catch up. Trump emphasized that the United States is currently leading the global AI sector by a significant margin and intends to keep it that way.

While the administration has opened a dialogue with Beijing to prevent misunderstandings, the President remains steadfast in his refusal to engage in cooperative development. Trump’s approach stands in stark contrast to the calls for stifling regulations that he correctly identifies as a hindrance to growth.

Dismissing the alarmist rhetoric surrounding AI safety as yet another hoax similar to the climate change narrative, the President is instead focusing on American leadership.

To mark this new direction, he signed an executive order rebranding AI as 'Super Intelligence' within government documents and signaled the upcoming appointment of a 'Super Intelligence Czar.' By prioritizing self-regulation among industry leaders over heavy-handed government interference, the President is ensuring that American innovation remains unburdened by the bureaucratic red tape that the radical left and international bodies crave.
