The dark reality behind the online persona of singer David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, has been laid bare in a Los Angeles courtroom. Prosecutors presented chilling evidence, including text messages and iCloud data, detailing a years-long pattern of sexual abuse against a minor that allegedly culminated in her murder.
The victim, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was only 11 years old when she first began communicating with Burke, who was 17 at the time. The evidence reveals a disturbing timeline of exploitation, including discussions of pregnancy and abortion while the victim was still a young teenager.
Prosecutors allege that Burke, now facing seven criminal charges including murder and continuous sexual abuse of a child, killed the girl after she threatened to expose his predatory behavior and destroy his career. The investigation took a gruesome turn in September 2025, when police discovered the victim’s remains in the trunk of Burke’s Tesla.
Despite the defense attempting to cast doubt on the timeline of the victim's death, DNA evidence recovered from Burke’s Hollywood Hills home provided a direct link to the crime. Burke, who gained fame through viral hits on TikTok, now faces the full weight of the justice system as the court determines if he will stand trial for these heinous acts.
