The Russian war machine has once again demonstrated its disregard for human life, launching a devastating glide bomb attack on two civilian buses in the frontline city of Kramatorsk.

Regional officials report that 33 people were killed and 18 others wounded in the strike, which targeted passengers in an area Russia is desperate to seize as part of its illegal invasion. Images from the scene show the charred remains of the buses, a grim testament to the Kremlin's ongoing aggression.

This massacre is part of a broader, dramatic surge in Russian attacks across Ukraine. The scale of the violence is staggering, with the UN noting that civilian casualties in Ukraine have already surpassed the total for the entirety of the previous year. In another recent strike in Pryluky, 22 people were murdered, including five children.

As the Kremlin continues its relentless assault on infrastructure and civilian centers, Ukrainian officials have been forced to suspend public transport in the Donetsk region to prevent further loss of life.

Despite the mounting death toll, the Biden administration and Western partners have failed to provide the necessary defense packages, leaving Ukraine struggling to intercept incoming Russian ballistics. With interceptor missiles in short supply, the Ukrainian people remain largely defenseless against Putin’s glide bombs and long-range strikes.

President Zelensky has rightly called for concrete action from international partners, as the Russian military continues to target everything from residential blocks to logistics hubs in its failed attempt to break the Ukrainian spirit.
