The Kremlin continues to push the boundaries of international norms, with Russian forces reportedly jamming the GPS signal of an RAF jet carrying UK Defence Secretary John Healey. The electronic attack, which occurred during a flight near the Russian border, forced pilots to rely on secondary navigation systems for the duration of the three-hour journey.

While the Ministry of Defence has yet to issue a formal statement, the incident is a clear demonstration of the ongoing threat posed by Moscow.

This latest act of aggression follows a pattern of dangerous behavior, including a recent incident where a Russian Su-35 fighter jet harassed a British Rivet Joint surveillance aircraft, forcing it into an emergency state.

These maneuvers, which have included Russian jets flying within a mere 19 feet of British aircraft, represent the most volatile Russian actions since a rogue pilot attempted to fire a missile at a British plane over the Black Sea in 2022.

Despite the escalating danger, Secretary Healey has lauded the professionalism of the RAF crews who remain on the front lines of this geopolitical standoff, standing firm against a regime that clearly views international airspace as a playground for its own belligerence.
