Republican Congressman Tom Kean Jr arrives to the US Capitol in March for a caucus meeting

Republican Congressman Tom Kean Jr. has secured his party's nomination for re-election, bolstered by a strong endorsement from President Donald Trump, even as the lawmaker remains conspicuously absent from his duties.

Kean, who has not been seen in public since March 5, has missed more than 100 congressional votes, sparking legitimate questions from constituents and colleagues alike.

While his office previously cited a medical issue and promised a return to a full schedule, the lack of transparency regarding his whereabouts has turned his candidacy into a national curiosity. President Trump, standing by his endorsement, labeled Kean a 'Tremendous Advocate' of the America First agenda.

With Kean running unopposed in the primary, he now faces Democrat Rebecca Bennett in a high-stakes November election that will be pivotal in determining the balance of power in Congress. As the district remains a key battleground, voters are left waiting to see if their representative will finally return to the job he was elected to perform.
