The streets of Tehran were flooded with regime supporters on Saturday as the Islamic Republic began a multi-day funeral procession for the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The former supreme leader, whose death in a joint U.S.-Israeli strike in late February crippled the regime's leadership, is being honored with a carefully orchestrated series of events spanning Iran and Iraq.

Despite the regime's attempt to frame the gathering as a show of national unity and defiance, the event serves as a stark reminder of the consequences faced by those who lead state-sponsored terror.

President Donald Trump, who recently noted that the regime is desperate for a peace deal to end the conflict, allowed for the funeral proceedings to take place, demonstrating the strength of the American position.

While mourners in the Grand Mosalla chanted slogans against the United States, the reality remains that the regime's influence has been significantly degraded.

As the body travels from Tehran to Qom, Najaf, and finally Mashhad for burial, the regime faces internal uncertainty, with Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba, having yet to make a public appearance since his succession.

This funeral is not merely a mourning period; it is the final act for a leadership that brought years of aggression to the region, now forced to confront the reality of its own diminished power.
