Israel Seizes Strategic Beaufort Castle as Ground Offensive Against Hezbollah Intensifies

Prime Minister Netanyahu hails the capture of the historic fortress as a decisive shift in Israel's mission to dismantle Iranian-backed terror infrastructure.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully captured the strategic Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, a move Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described as a decisive shift in the ongoing campaign to neutralize the Hezbollah terror threat.

As Israeli ground troops push deeper into Lebanese territory, moving well beyond the Litani River, the military has issued further evacuation orders for southern Lebanon, warning civilians that remaining near Hezbollah facilities and combat assets puts them in direct danger.

This operation is a necessary response to the Iranian-backed group's relentless barrage of explosive drones and missiles targeting Israeli communities and military personnel.

While European governments and the UK have predictably called for a halt to the operations, Israel remains committed to its objective of dismantling the infrastructure Hezbollah uses to terrorize the region. Defense Minister Israel Katz emphasized that securing the castle and the surrounding ridge is a vital step in protecting Israeli citizens.

Despite the hand-wringing from international bodies and the Lebanese government's claims of collective punishment, the reality remains that Hezbollah initiated this conflict by launching rockets into Israel.

With the ceasefire effectively in tatters due to Hezbollah's continued violations, Israel is exercising its sovereign right to defend its borders and eliminate threats, regardless of the criticism from those who would prefer the status quo of constant rocket fire.
