Israel is grappling with a messy political deadlock following a surge in voter participation that saw turnout reach its highest level in nearly thirty years. Despite more than 77% of the electorate casting their ballots, the results have failed to deliver a clear mandate for either side.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose Likud party is positioned to remain the largest faction in the Knesset, is pushing for the formation of a strong, right-wing coalition to steer the country. With neither camp securing a definitive majority to form a government, the nation now faces a period of intense negotiation and uncertainty as the political establishment struggles to resolve the impasse.
