G7 Demands Iran Cease Arming Houthi Terrorists Threatening Global Energy

The foreign ministers of the G7 have issued a unified demand for Iran to immediately cease its arming and support of the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

This declaration comes as the Iranian-backed group continues to escalate its violent campaign, seizing territory along the Red Sea and threatening the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a critical artery for global shipping and energy transit.

While Tehran continues to hide behind baseless denials, international evidence—including intercepted weapons shipments and reports from UN experts—confirms that the Houthis have been transformed into a potent military force through the direct assistance of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and their regional proxies.

The Houthi aggression, which includes persistent drone and missile strikes against Saudi Arabian infrastructure and civilian targets, has created a dangerous pattern of instability that the G7 now explicitly condemns.

As the UN General Assembly approaches, the message to the Iranian regime is clear: their proxy war is no longer just a regional conflict, but a direct threat to international trade and economic stability.

The G7 nations have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the legitimate government of Yemen, signaling that the era of ignoring Iran’s role in fueling this chaos must come to an end. The Houthis, who openly align themselves with the Iranian-led 'axis of resistance' against the West, have forced a necessary military response from the Saudi-led coalition.

As the conflict intensifies, the United States and its allies are now weighing further defensive measures to secure energy infrastructure and neutralize the threat posed by this Iranian-backed insurgency.
