President Trump arrived in Beijing to a display of diplomatic pageantry, using the visit to confront the realities of the U.S.-China relationship head-on.

While the Chinese government rolled out a formal welcome, the substance of the visit focused on the President’s core objectives: leveling the playing field for American businesses and addressing the destabilizing influence of the Iranian regime.

Accompanied by a delegation of top American business leaders, including Elon Musk and Tim Cook, the President pressed for greater access to Chinese markets for U.S. firms. The administration remains clear-eyed about the challenges posed by China’s economic practices and its regional ambitions, particularly regarding Taiwan.

On the critical issue of Iran, the President sought to leverage Beijing’s influence to ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains open, emphasizing that a nuclear-armed Iran is an unacceptable threat to global security.

Despite the grand gestures from his hosts, the President is focused on achieving concrete results that benefit the American economy and reinforce national security, signaling that the era of one-sided trade and unchecked aggression is over.
